About OptiMeet

Connection, prescribed.

OptiMeet is a wellbeing companion called Lottie who notices when your week has been heavy and finds you something warm, close to home, with people who get it. Made by OptiMe in Hartlepool.

What OptiMeet is

Three ideas, one app

1

A companion, not a catalogue

Lottie asks how your week has been and offers one warm, explained suggestion from what's actually on near you — a walk, a cuppa, a class. You can always say no or ask for something else.

2

Real rooms, real people

Every suggestion is a real local event with a verified host and friendly people already going. The app's job is to get you out of the door, not to keep you on your phone.

3

Four views, one app

Members get Lottie. Community hosts run events and see their impact. Employers sponsor places for their teams. NHS link workers refer people with a warm hand-off. Each is its own space.

The problem

Feeling disconnected is common. Doing something about it is hard.

Most people who feel low or lonely know what would help: getting out, seeing faces, doing something with their hands. What stops them is the gap between knowing and going — too many options, nobody expecting them, and the fear of walking in alone.

  • Event listings hand you 400 things to scroll and no reason to pick one.

  • Wellbeing apps keep you indoors, on a screen, on your own.

  • Social prescribing works, but a referral is only as good as the welcome at the door.

How Lottie works

No mystery, no small print

What Lottie pays attention to

Three things, and only three: how you say you've been feeling in check-ins, what you told her you'd like more of (connection, calm, energy…), and which events you actually go to and enjoy. She doesn't read your messages, track your location in the background, or guess anything from your phone.

What she does with it

She matches your week to local events with a track record of helping people who felt similar. That's it — a friendly nudge towards a walk, a cuppa or a class. You can always say no, ask for something else, or just browse yourself.

Community, never therapy

Lottie suggests community — and never therapy. She isn't a clinician and doesn't diagnose, treat or advise on mental health. If things ever seem heavy, she'll gently point you to real support like your GP or Samaritans, and she will never block you from anything in the app.

Who can see your wellbeing data

You. Not hosts, not employers, not other members. Hosts and employers only ever see anonymised, aggregated numbers across groups of 10 or more — for example "attendees of this walk report +22% mood boost" — never who felt what.

How the personalised experience works

From "how's your week been?" to someone expecting you

  1. Step 1

    Three questions, ten seconds

How you've been feeling, what you'd like more of, what you enjoy. That's the whole set-up.

  2. Step 2

    One suggestion at a time

Lottie ranks what's on against your answers and explains her pick. Not a list — a recommendation you can say no to.

  3. Step 3

    Look around freely

Explore, Circles, providers and live sessions are all open before you have an account. It's a free preview of the real app.

  4. Step 4

An account when someone's expecting you

Reserving a place, joining a Circle or lending a hand asks for an email and a password (or a mobile number) — so the host knows to expect you and your progress is safe on any phone.

  5. Step 5

It gets better as you go

After each event Lottie asks how it felt. Over a few weeks that becomes your own wellbeing trend, and her suggestions get closer to what helps you.

What makes OptiMeet different

Not another events app. Not another wellbeing app.

Prescribed, not searched

Event listings hand you 400 things to scroll. Lottie asks how your week has been and offers one warm, explained suggestion — and you can always say no.

Real people, real rooms

Wellbeing apps keep you on your phone. OptiMeet gets you out of the door: a walk, a cuppa, a class, with someone expecting you when you arrive.
